With the death on May 22, 2010 of Charlie Guy, Jr, a Tampa, Florida resident since 1955, a national assemblage of his family, friends, former teammates and players, ex-business associates, and community leaders are joining together to seek his induction into the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame.
Navy
Severn & Navy All American Teammate
Charlie was a longtime friend from both Severn & Navy LAX days. We are two of the four Severn player on the 1942 LAX team who had never before played LAX, but who later went on to become college All Americans! The other two were Jack (Killer) Albright & Bill Stites. I even attended his son's, (Charlie 3) christening.
He deserves to be in the National LAX Hall of Fame as he was one of the greatest LAX players of our era.
Charlie for the National LAX Hall!

Charlie Guy Jr. USNA '46 was one of the finest defensemen in lacrosse history. Against his peers, he was the best. He was Navy's first Schmeisser Award winner and he established a standard of excellence that 60 years of Navy defensemen have followed. Navy's defense is perennially among the stingiest in the country, and you can trace that tradition back to Charlie Guy!!
